The grassroots of Grant Hateley.
Grant grew up on a farming property in the Strathbogie region. From a young age, he showed interest in building things and how things were put together.
Throughout high school, his love for building and wood work really expanded. He recognised that this was a passion of his and was eager to learn new skills. He participated in every tech class the school had to offer and would contact the local trades to see if he could work with them during his holidays.
From then on, a trade in building and construction seemed the obvious career choice for Grant. He was very passionate about building new things that were creative and innovative.
Following the completion of Grants carpentry apprenticeship under an esteemed local builder, he was mentored by some talented carpenters and developed an eye for detail and an awareness that cannot be conveyed in a classroom.
At the age of 25, Grant became a registered builder and decided to start his own building company. Of course, education has been an ongoing element of his years in the industry, but the ability to see a finished product from the pages of an architect’s drawings is something that his clients put great confidence in.
Custom builds are Grant’s passion. Creating detail for his clients and delivering an amazing build that is unique to them is one of the biggest drivers at Hateley Construct.

Grant has a passion for design and takes a hands-on approach in the business to ensure that Hateley Construct delivers the best quality of custom homes for their clients. He is passionate about contributing to the personal growth of his team and providing them with opportunities to scale in his business. Grant has a love for all sports and enjoys playing golf with his mates.
